Yes! While many of the situations in Overcompensating are exaggerated, they are all rooted in reality. Most of the identities are changed to protect people who act like they're innocent but really aren't.

Overcompensating takes place where I live, in the Faux Hamptons near where all the smoke is coming from.

When we transferred everything over to Dumbrella Hosting, some pieces fell off. Unfortunately I haven't, and probably never will have time to go in and manually fix everything. It's best just to ignore all the comic notes from around August 2006 on back.
