Bring Your Pet To Work Day

Thursday, April 26, 2007 - 12:00 AM

So this comic introduces the Rowland-Stolichnaya Intelligence Index which uses the common cat (the cat being the least intelligent creature on earth that can technically be considered "living") as a baseline to measure intelligence. Horses are two Cat Units (CU), William Shatner is eight CUs, dolphins are 15 CUs on average, and George W. Bush is 1.5 CUs.

Do you ever wonder exactly what it is that makes people want to have pets? Does it satisfy some sort of carnal desire to lord over some lower species? I know people can't possibly, genuinely enjoy picking filthy old dog feces up off the ground and putting the feces in a plastic baggie.

I've actually interacted with Winston and the Machine Elf before but the nice thing about the world of Overcompensating is that everyone has really bad memories.
