If you saw Kate's comic yesterday, you'll know that brown recluse spiders have now made their debut in Brooklyn. If you've been reading this comic for any length of time you'll know that seven years and two days ago, I got bit by a brown recluse spider, a thing that landed a picture of my leg on the Wikipedia entry for necrosis. It was also a catalyst event that without which there would probably be no TopatoCo and I would still be a government contractor.I moved to New England. Then Wolfman Green moved to New England. The apartment Kate's roommate was bitten in is the exact same apartment KC spent the night in a couple of months ago. And now we got brown recluse spiders up here [thanks(?) Matt], and yesterday there were tornadoes in Springfield, MA which is about 10 miles from here.
Time to become an astronaut.
